St Saviour's News - 26 May 2019 'Easter VI'

Ascension Day - Please note changes for mass times: morning mass at 11am in St Saviour’s and 6pm in St German’s.  No 5:45pm mass in St Saviour’s.         

Parochial Church Council - Next PCC meeting is after mass on 16 June.          

Choir Practice - Tuesday 4 June at 7pm. All are welcome.                    

Thy Kingdom Come Prayer Novena - begins on Friday 31st and ends at Pentecost. It it is hoped that everyone who takes part will: - Deepen their relationship with Jesus Christ; - Pray for God’s spirit to work in the lives of those they know; - Come to realise that every aspect of their life is the stuff of prayer.  This year we will emphasise prayer through daily mass and a reflective Holy Hour in front of the Blessed Sacrament.  See flyer at the back for details or on our website.        

Messy Church - please join us on Sun 9 June at 4pm for our Pentecost themed MC. Open to all esp. the curious. Join us for a cuppa if you want to watch from the side.

Stewardship Campaign - we will be launching our stewardship campaign at Pentecost and will conclude it two weeks later.                    

Walsingham Pilgrimage - Those travelling to the shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham (22-25 July) should pay final monies by Sun 30 June.  See Liz for details.         

Rome and Assisi Pilgrimage 2019 - 2-6 December.  If you are interested in going please see Fr Phelim.  Cost of flights from Bristol, transfers and transport to Assisi and within Rome will be £250. Pilgrims arrange their own accommodation.        

Christian Aid - Many thanks to all who supported our fundraising for CA. We raised a fantastic £145.40.                                      

Easter Course - Mondays at 6:30pm in St G’s & Tuesdays at10:45am in St Saviour’s.

Social Events - Sun 30 June - Strawberry Tea at 3pm. Tickets on sale soon.
