Next Sunday - Reserve your seat at St Saviour’s mass via Liz on 07718918846.
Covid Risks - Please remember that when you come into church the lockdown restrictions don’t permit us to allow for for social catch ups whilst in the building. Our most recent risk assessment states people go straight to their chair and at the end of the service leave quietly. Once outside, catch ups and some fellowship is possible because it is much safer in terms of infection rates and chances of the coronavirus spreading. Thank you in advance. Week of Prayer for Christian Unity - Ends tomorrow yet we will revisit this week of prayer later in the year when it is safe to do so. This year’s theme is Abiding in Christ. We hope to celebrate Christian Unity in and around Pentecost when we hope to have a joint service either with our new ministry area or with other Christian traditions. Faith QI - Next meets on Wed 3 Feb at 7pm via zoom. The next topic will be ‘The Old Testament’. Each evening we explore a different topic related to our faith and spirituality - sometimes prayer, sometimes philosophy, sometimes theology. At the heart of it is a desire to understand and deepen our own faith. See our website for a list of this year’s topics. Zoom Bingo - With the tier 4 lockdown we are exploring ways to support our parish community life. We are now looking at a Monday in February for this in the evening and after our 6pm mass. See Ross Pilliner for details. We hope to play five games and proceeds can go to charity. We are hoping for donations of small prizes. Ministry Area - We recently met Bishop June and representatives from Grangetown and St Mary’s last week for the MA ‘roadshow’ which outlined some of the processes and thinking behind ministry areas. Time constraints didn’t allow us to adequately cover all of the questions posed and so we will have further meetings to do this. This Tuesday there is an opportunity for St Saviour’s people to meet with Fr Phelim and the other reps on zoom at 7pm to discuss some of these questions. We hope to have a wider meeting involving the other churches in February. If you want to join this please see or email Fr Phelim. Recently Departed - Kathleen Cartlidge, Violet Miller, Carol Jones, Irene Fawcett, Frederick Green RIP
