Messy Church - is on Sunday 6 October at 4pm in St Saviour’s - theme: St Francis of Assisi. Benediction and Vespers - in St Saviour’s this evening at 6pm. All are welcome. Foodbank - Many thanks to everyone for donating 296.4kgs of food. Urgent items: Tinned fruit, Long life fruit juice, UHT milk, Rice pudding, Sponge puddings, Tinned potatoes, Tinned fish, coffee and pasta/curry sauces. PCC Meeting - next PCC meeting is this Tuesday 24 Sept at 7pm in St Saviour's. Faith Groups - Our groups launch on the first week of October. Book Clubs: We hope to look at four books through the course of the year. We meet after mass on Mondays to look at Henri Nouwen’s ‘Return of the Prodigal Son’ and after mass on Tuesday’s for Rupert Shortt’s ‘Does Religion do more harm than good’. Copies will be available for those interested in coming weeks. Faith QI faith discussion group will be topical and take place on Wednesday evenings at 7pm once a month in each church (1st Wed in St Saviour’s and 3rd Wednesday in St German’s). If some aspect of church life interests you let Fr Phelim know. Autumn Confirmation Dates - Diocesan confirmation in the Cathedral with Bishop Philip North on Thurs 3 Oct at 7:30pm. Other dates are available with Bishop June: Sun 24 Nov in Ely or Sunday 1 Dec in Llandaff Cathedral. For more details please see Fr Phelim. Harvest Festival Sat 29 Sept. donations for Cardiff Foodbank needed. Tinned, packet foods, toiletries, sanitary items. After Mass David and Wendy will serve sausage sandwiches! McMillan Coffee Morning after Mass Sun 13 Oct - Donations of cakes and bakes needed! Walsingham Festival - Sat 19 October, St. Mary’s Butetown (for details see the poster in the hall). Next year’s pilgrimage to our Lady’s shrine at Walsingham is from 20-23 July 2020 Street Party - today from 1-3pm at the end of Railway Street to celebrate a tree nominated for an award.
