Winter Bazaar - Many thanks to all who helped at our bazaar yesterday both on the stalls, the set up and clearing away. Thanks especially to Richard for coordinating us all and keeping us sane! It was a great day of outreach and fundraising.
Nightshelter - With the winter fast approaching, our thoughts turn to those who are homeless. We will again take part in the Cardiff Churches Nightshelter on Saturday nights during winter. We will have a meeting for all volunteers new and experienced on Monday 25 November at 6:45 in the Church. All are welcome.
Advent and Christmas Services - details of our services will be published next week. We begin Advent on Sun 1 Dec with a service of Advent carols and lessons at 6pm in St German’s. We will also have a healing service in St German’s this advent.
Foodbank - Thank you again to all who regularly contribute food for Cardiff Foodbank. Current urgent items: Tinned Fruit, Long life fruit juice, UHT milk, Rice Pudding, Sponge Puddings. Tinned potatoes. For an up to date overview of the plight of hungry people in the UK please visit www.stateofhunger.org which is research and policy conclusions conducted by the Trussell Trust.
Next PCC - Meets tomorrow evening (Monday 18 Nov) after the 6pm Mass.
Concerts at St German’s - There is a list of these events at the back of the church as well as a sign up page for those who are willing to help set up and tidy away.
Book Clubs: Meets after mass on Mondays to look at Henri Nouwen’s ‘Return of the Prodigal Son’. We look at part 4 ‘The Father’ at our next meet on Mon 9 December.
The Departed: John Brown, Dorothy Hamer, Betty Morgan. During our weekday masses of November we pray for all the Holy Souls.
