Darkness into Light - This campaign is varied and involves torchbearers, singing carols from door stops as well as churches throughout Wales shining their lights each Sunday evening at 6pm to be a sign of renewed hope as we endure still the coronavirus pandemic. See our website for more details.
Benediction and Vespers - this evening at 6pm in St Saviour’s. Next Sunday Benediction and Reflections for Advent in St German’s at 6pm.  On Sunday Dec 20th we will have a shortened lessons and carols service in St German's at 6pm.  Carols will be sung by a small group of up to six singers which complies with current government guidance.
Advent and Christmas - Please take a copy of the Advent and Christmas services flyer from the back of the church.  It will be crucial to book a place in advance for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day and so there will be a services sign up page at the back of the church for current congregation members.  If you are inviting family please also fill in their names.     Priority will go to current church members yet we want to also keep some space for those who only visit once a year or so.

PCC Meeting - Our next PCC meeting will be on Monday 23rd at 7pm via Zoom.  We will update everyone on Ministry Area proposals as well as plans for Advent and Christmas.              Sidonia Innocent RIP - We pray for Sidonia’s family at this time.  Her funeral will be in St German’s on Monday 23 Nov at 11:30.  To attend please see Fr Phelim.

Weekday and Sunday Services - No weekday masses this week as Fr Phelim has been asked to self isolate by NHS track and trace.   with the end of the recent lockdown we are able once more to pray and worship in church as before.  Numbers attending church services are determined according to what each building can safely sustain bearing in mind the two meter social distancing rule.  St Saviour's is currently 45 and St German’s is 60.

Advent and Christmas - we hope as much as possible to maintain the usual services for the seasons of Advent and Christmas. Yet much of what we do this year will be determined by covid rules and so numbers will be limited and booking places will be very important. We will publish a full list of services for the first Sunday of Advent.

Nightshelter - It looks increasingly unlikely we will be unable to offer our winter outreach to the homeless this year because of the ongoing risks and dangers posed by the Covid crisis.  We will keep our options going as to how best we might support the local authority as they provide self contained units for the homeless most of which will be in Adamsdown.

Happy Birthday and Thank You to our wonderful organist, Brian Williams, who reaches a big milestone this week.  We are ever so grateful for his work, humour and presence with us over the last number of decades.  Not often we can say things like that.  Here’s to the next few Brian.  Ad Multos Annos.
