Parish Lunch for All Saints of Ireland and Wales - There is to be a three-course Parish lunch next Sunday 5 November in celebration of some Celtic saints. There is a list at the back of the church for people to sign if they wish to come.                       

Remembrance - During November Christians often remember those who have died and offer lists of departed loved ones to be prayed for.  If you would like us to pray for your loved ones please give your list to Fr Phelim.  We will remember them all during the Masses on All Souls’ Day, Thurs 2nd November at 9:45 in St German’s and at 5:45 pm in St Saviour’s.      

Bible Sunday - Readings today (only) are from the Revised Common Lectionary.         

Dementia café on Monday 13 November from 2:00pm until 4:00pm – this month we will be holding a ‘Tea Dance’ and everyone is invited to attend.                     

Bazaar – All contributions for the various stalls will be greatly appreciated as well as help beforehand to set it all up on the Friday evening and on the day itself. If you are able to help in any way please speak to Richard Hill                             

Cardiff Churches Nightshelter - information meetings for those interested in helping in this year’s NS on Monday 30 Oct in St German’s at 7:00pm and in St Saviour’s on Tuesday 31 October at 7:00pm. (Please see our website for more details).                  

Cardiff Deanery Conference - in Roath Church House on Thursday 16 November at 7pm.  Fr Phelim will be presenting on our ministry to the homeless and the Churches Nightshelter.

Cardiff Foodbank - Urgent items: tinned tomatoes, fruit juice (concentrate), rice pudding tins, sponge pudding, tinned fruit. Not now needed: beans, cereals, tea.                

PCC - Advance notice that our next PCC meeting is on Monday 13 November after the 6pm mass.  The focus of this meeting will be on our mission and outreach.

​Charitable Giving - As a church we raised £220.00 from our Macmillan Coffee Morning and from our Sunday Morning Teas from January to October we have raised £320.00 for our nominated Charity Sight 2020 Direct

Remembrance - If you would like us to pray for your  departed loved ones please give your list to Fr Phelim.  We will remember them all during Mass on All Souls’ Day, Thurs 2 November at 9:45 am in St German’s and at 5:45 pm in St Saviour’s.           

Fundraising Team - If you would like to help and be part of a fundraising team please contact Fr Phelim.                                   

Remembrance Sunday - There will be an act of Remembrance at 11am led by Geraint on Sunday 12 November.  Geraint will also play the Last Post. Please join us.           

Fr Graham - We wish Fr Graham well over the next week or so as he goes into hospital. Please keep him and his family in your prayers during this time.

Sung Mass - Please note that we now sing ‘Christ will come in glory’ after the Christ has died, Christ is risen proclamation.  Also, we are currently rehearsing a new Mass setting by Steven Janco (see our website for a video of the music).  We will introduce this for Advent.

Rome Trip Meeting - After mass today when we will look in more detail at the proposed itinerary etc. Final instalments can be handed in then.

Memorial Garden - Thank you to all those who helped clear and tidy the garden for Autumn.   We hope to do this again later in the year.

Extra-ordinary AGM -  Mass will be shorter today to allow for our AGM at10:15 am.  The main purpose of this meeting is to elect a new people’s warden for the parish.  Nomination forms are still available at the back of the church as are forms to join the electoral roll.

Welcome- We warmly welcome Lindsay Gray and the Caritas Choir to our service today and thank them in advance for the music they will share with us in our worship.

Memorial Garden - Today after Church a working party will gather to focus on the garden and flower beds in the Church Yard - light refreshments provided.        

BBC Morning Worship from St German’s at 9:45am tomorrow Monday 16 October

New Vestments -thank you to an anonymous donor for enabling us to buy a new Green Chasuble and tunicles for the liturgical ministry of sub-deacon (which Geraint does for us).

The Patronal Festival and Friends AGM will be held this year during the Octave of St German, today after mass. A buffet lunch follows afterwards. If anyone who is not yet a ‘Friend’ but would like to consider joining please let us know.                 

Next Sunday - We warmly welcome Lindsay Gray and the Caritas Choir who will sing a mixture of different mass settings (from Palestrina to Mozart). Please join us.
