Thank you - To Fr John Lewis for presiding and preaching today.             

​Messy Church - Messy Church  is coming.  First one at St Saviour’s on Sun 30 Sept at 4pm and in St German’s on Oct 28 at 4pm. If you could help at either of this it would be most appreciated. More details in Sept.                     

Confirmation Ceremony 2018 - 2 October 2018 in St German’s.  Bishop June will be coming to us for a confirmation service in October.   If anyone would like to be confirmed please contact Fr Phelim.  It is open to children and adults.          

Faith QI - A new 6 week set of informal meetings for adults keen to know and understand more about our faith, liturgy, tradition and history (ideal for those exploring confirmation).  Wednesdays 7:30 pm at the vicarage. Begins 5 Sept 2018. See website for more details.  Places limited - first come first served basis.         

Organ Recital - St German’s on 29 August at 7pm.  See website for more info.      

PCC & Sub Committees - Pastoral Care - after mass on Sun 2 Sept; Finance - Monday 10 Sept at 7pm in the vicarage. PCC Meeting on 17 Sept.             

Foodbank April - June 2018, St German’s donated 64.7kg of food. In 2017 Cardiff Foodbank provided 3-day parcels of food for 11,556 people and demand is rising. 

Clothes sale - Wed 5 Sept, a brand new clothes sale from 11:00am until 3:00pm. The clothes have been donated by Anne & Michael’s Cook’s daughter and all proceeds are to be given to St German’s. Coffee, tea and cakes will also be available

Quiz evening on Tuesday 11 September – there is a list at the back of the church for people to indicate if they would like to come

MacMillan Coffee Morning after mass Sunday 23rd September            

Faith QI - A new 6 week set of informal meetings for adults keen to know and understand more about our faith, liturgy, tradition and history.  Wednesdays 7:30 pm at the vicarage. Begins 5 Sept 2018. Places limited - first come first served basis.

Foodbank - needed items: UHT milk, long life fruit juice, tinned potatoes and chocolate/sweets, jam & sponge puddings.  Many thanks.             

Fundraising Walk - Thank you to all who helped raise £355 (with more to come) for parish funds.  It is much appreciated especially at this time when we need to look seriously at our parish finances and fundraising.                        

Eco Church -  If anyone is interested in joining a group to help take a lead on this please see Fr Phelim.                                      

Education Sunday - Next week with blessing for those in Education ministry. 

Deanery Confirmation - This year one of the deanery dates will be at St German’s with Bishop June Osborne on 2 October.  If anyone would like to be confirmed on this date please see Fr Phelim                                

​Harvest Celebrations Sun 30 Sept. Donations to Cardiff Foodbank please. Followed by sausage sandwiches!

Sunday 19 August - Ecumenical Celebration  and vespers for the feast of the Assumption of Our Lady at St Marys Butetown at 8.30pm (with BBQ & Fireworks).

Welcome and Thank You - To the Rev’d Professor Tomos Watkins for preaching and presiding  for us this Sunday.  Next week Fr Phelim is back.
