Tea and coffee will be served in the Church Hall after Mass – please join us.

Parish Lunch – There will be a Parish Lunch next Sunday 20 August and there is a list at the back of the Church for you to sign if you would like to come. Let’s make this one special as it will be Father Phelim’s first one with us.

Quiz Evening – Monday 4 September – There will be the usual Mass at 6:00pm and the Quiz will follow afterwards.  Why not come and join us. There will also be refreshments and a list at the back of the Church for you to sign and indicate your choice of food.

Don’t forget our Dementia Café this Monday, 14 August from 2:00pm to 4:00pm. Why not drop in and see what it’s all about.

Your vote is needed! St German’s Church is one (the second on the list) of 50 churches selected throughout Wales and your vote will count as us being chosen as the ‘best’. That’s all you need to do is to visit the sacredwales.org.uk website to place your vote. Please encourage everyone you know to do this.

For you to be aware of developments relating to the Clergyhouse – a week ago we saw a ‘for sale’ sign being placed on the Clergyhouse and since then Peter, Hilary, Angela and Gary our ‘handyman’ went for a viewing and were most surprised at the good state of repair. Despite being led to believe that it was damp and water was seeping in everywhere, we found it to be warm, pleasant and most of all ‘bone dry’! For you to be aware the asking price is offers in excess of £300,000! What an opportunity for someone.

We give special thanks to Richard Davey who has produced a splendid booklet entitled “Replacing the Organ Bellows…..” and which includes a brief history and description of the organ. Richard is also updating our Log Book and Terrier (the last time this was done was in 2001!) A daunting task, but one he has started work on already.
