Covid Risks Update - We need to review our risk assessment on a constant basis. Consequently, we need to remind people that when people come to church it is not an opportunity for social catch ups whilst in the building. Our risk assessment states people adhere to social distancing and so go straight to their chair and at the end of the service leave quietly. Once outside in the carpark, catch ups and some fellowship is possible because it is much safer in terms of infection rates and chances of the coronavirus spreading.
St Agnes - The feast of St Agnes is this week and so in remembrance of the former faith community of St Agnes in Adamsdown our Wednesday mass is from the chapel of St Agnes. Week of Prayer for Christian Unity - Normally takes place from 18-25 January each year. This year’s theme is Abiding in Christ. There is also an option for communities to celebrate this week of prayer in and around Pentecost which is what we will do this year because of the lockdown restrictions preventing a joint service or other ecumenical engagement. For those who want to pray this year, prayer resources are available from the CTBI website. Faith QI - Returns this week on Wed 20th Jan at 7pm on zoom. Each evening we explore a different topic related to our faith and spirituality - sometimes prayer, sometimes philosophy, sometimes theology. At the heart of it is a desire to understand and deepen our own faith. Topics this year: Why go to Church, the Old Testament, God and the Pandemic, God talk in a digital age, Spirituality, Who’s in Charge - God, Power and Authority. Zoom Bingo - With the tier 4 lockdown we are exploring ways to support our parish community life. We hope to launch this later on in January with a Zoom bingo. If there’s a particular evening you’re interested in please let us know. We will play five games and proceeds can go to charity. We are hoping for donations of small prizes. Tredegarville Primary School - If your child, or you know of a child, who would like to be considered for a place at Tredegarville Church in Wales Primary for Reception 2021 please contact the school or follow the link on our website homepage. Recently Departed - Leonard Innocent, John Frayne, Kathleen Cartlidge, Violet Miller, Carol Jones RIP
