Bible Sunday - Readings today are from the Revised Common Lectionary. Our focus will be on celebrating and giving thanks for the living Word of God. Next Sunday we celebrate All Saint’s Day. Both services will be pre-recorded in St Saviour’s and available on youtube.
Firebreak Lockdown - Sunday and Weekday Services for the next two weeks have been suspended. We will resume our online Sunday services in each church and the link to these youtube recordings will be available on our website each Sunday morning. This coming week is half term but we hope to have a Tuesday morning zoom coffee morning for St Saviour’s members on Tuesday 10 November at 10am. If any parishioners need help with shopping or collecting medicines etc. (or know of anyone who is in need) please contact Liz on 07718018846. McMillan Take Away Coffee Morning - Many thanks to all who supported our coffee morning. We managed to raise over £265 for this worthy cause. Sanctuary Lamps - may be sponsored according to your own intention or dedication. Ministry Areas - Our PCC recently met to consider all the options and issues surrounding the desire of our Bishop to reconfigure the diocese into ministry areas. St Saviour’s PCC member have agreed to explore some options surrounding a smaller ministry area than that originally planned. We will publish the minutes of the last meeting as soon as we can. . Public Worship & COVID - Due to the lockdown we have had to close our churches for public worship for the next two weeks. When services resume we will again adopt our usual safeguarding measures and ask people to book in to the services in advance. . Remembrance - During November Christians often remember those who have died and offer lists of departed loved ones to be prayed for. If you would like us to pray for your loved ones please give your list to Fr Phelim. On Remembrance Sunday (8 Nov) we’ll observe the 2 minute silence during our online service & encourage individuals to pray an act of remembrance at home or at the war memorial which will be open to the public on Remembrance Sunday morning.
