Next Sunday - Reserve your seat at St Saviour’s mass via Liz on 07718018846.
Back to Church Sunday - next Sunday 20 Sept 2020 - Our focus next week is on invitation and having the courage to ask someone to accompany us to church, perhaps even for the first time. We’d also love to welcome back old friends who we haven’t seen in a while. Please consider who you will invite and ask them. We have two extra services available next Sunday - an 8am said mass in St Saviour’s and a 7pm Benediction service at St German’s. Don’t forget to let us know in advance who will be coming. Make and Mend - many thanks to all who helped and supported our grand day of cleaning, tidying and repairing parts of our church fabric. It was great to see so many of our community helping out with great spirit and morale. A special thank you to the team who stayed in church late into the afternoon making and mending. We also have a new group of Brass Cleaners who hope to meet each month. Open to all. Thank You - to all who supported our recent fundraising - we managed to raise £560 from sponsorship alone. Bonus Ball - resumes from this Sunday. See Sylvia for details. Public Worship & COVID - With the recent increase in the national R rate and a ramping up of restrictions and precautions from next Sunday we will ask everyone to wear a face covering. Places of worship have been exempted from the indoor rule of six (at the minute) but it is likely as the Autumn and Winter progress that other restrictions or suspensions of worship may take place. For now, we are thankful that we can worship in church according to our tradition. Please attend carefully to the safety instructions, posters and guidance from stewards and parish officers during the services. During Holy Communion please stay in your seats and Fr Phelim will bring Holy Communion to you. Social distancing remains our key safety precaution. Faith Nurturing -Next meets on Wed 16 Sept at 7pm. ‘In Search of a Way’ by G. Hughes SJ. at 7pm via Zoom. Contact Fr Phelim for details. We’ll look at chapters -4-6. Recently Departed - Phyllis Mansell, Edward Oliver Crompton, Raymond Morrish RIP
