St German's News

The Patronal Festival and Friends AGM
will be held this year during the Octave of St German, on Sunday 8 October. A buffet lunch follows afterwards.

Thank You - to Fr Rhys Jenkins for leading our worship today.

Cardiff Churches Nightshelter - we are hoping to join the Churches Nightshelter this Winter and are looking for interested people who might help us care for, feed and shelter some homeless people for one night a week.  It will take place in St German’s Hall on a Saturday evening/Sunday morning.  (see our website for more details).  If you can help please let Fr Phelim know.  The more who volunteer for the rota the less others will have to do.

Rome Trip Meeting - After mass on Sunday 22 October when we will look in more detail at the proposed itinerary etc. Final instalments can be handed in then.

Croeso - The current edition is now available for people to take home with them.

Cardiff Foodbank - Please continue to support Cardiff foodbank.  Urgent items: tinned tomatoes, fruit juice, rice pudding tins, sponge pudding, tinned fruit. Not currently needed: beans, breakfast cereals, tea.

Confirmation - For those who have not yet been confirmed but would like to be (adults or children) please contact Fr Phelim.  Details of classes in due course.

Saying Goodbye Service - for those who have lost a child in pregnancy, birth or in infancy in Llandaff Cathedral on 21 October at 2:30pm.  See poster at the back.

On Sunday 15 October at 10:15 am (after a shortened mass).  The main purpose of this meeting is to elect a new people’s warden for the parish.  Nomination forms available at the back of the church as are electoral roll forms for those not yet enrolled but would like to vote.

Macmillan Coffee Morning - After Mass today.  All are welcome.

Service Times - We are currently consulting about what might be the best time for our Sunday service.  Please let us know your opinion.  If this is your first time in a long time does a 9:30 beginning suit your needs and those of your family or would an earlier time be better?  Please let us know.
