Advent Sunday - Is next Sunday 2 December 2018 - Service of Advent Lessons and Carols by Candlelight at 6pm in St German’s.  All are welcome.    

Advent and Christmas - Copies of the services for Advent and Christmas are available at the back of the Church. A highlight of this is a return for the series of prayer reflections on the 8 days before Christmas following the ancient ‘O Antiphons’ of the Church.                            

Rome Pilgrimage 3-7 December
- Many of us will be away during this week.  Consequently, there is no Monday evening mass on 3rd December but there will be a mass at 11:30am which is open to all.                  

Murder Mystery Evening
- 29 & 30 Nov at 7pm in the hall - cost £15 and includes a 3 course meal.  See Angela for tickets. Attire: ‘Wedding Guest’.      

​Nightshelter -  We will have an information and training evening for those interested in helping with our Nightshelter on Monday 10 December at 7pm.  This is open to new volunteers as well as to those who helped last year.  Its purpose is to update everyone on procedures for this year.  As ever, if you would like to help out in any way with the night shelter please contact Fr Phelim or one of the wardens.                             

Advent and Christmas Magazine - we hope to have copies as soon as possible and they’ll be delivered to every household in Adamsdown.       

Finance Meeting - tomorrow’s finance meeting is postponed to the New Year.

Healing Service for Advent - Wednesday 12 December in St Saviour’s at 7pm.      

Nightshelter -  We will have an information and training evening for those interested in helping with our Nightshelter on Monday 10 December at 7pm.  This is open to new volunteers as well as to those who helped last year.  Its purpose is to update everyone on procedures for this year.  As ever, if you would like to help out in any way with the night shelter please contact Fr Phelim or one of the wardens.     

Flowers for Christmas - to sponsor an arrangement please speak to Gwyneth.

Christmas Cards - We will be creating a Christmas Greeting Display, where you can send a personal Christmas message and at the same time give a present to church via a donation envelope. This can also be gift aided if you are able. Donations should be given to John.  Those wishing to make a Christmas donation to charity can donate to the Nightshelter to support its on going running costs. Envelopes will be provided and can been given to Fr Phelim.

Benediction with Music from Taize - this evening at 6pm in St German’s. Please join us for this quiet, prayerful and reflective service.

Rome, Subiaco & Montecassino Pilgrimage - Next and final meeting is today after mass when any outstanding amount need to be settled.         

Benediction with Music from Taize - this evening at 6pm in St German’s. Please join us for this quiet, prayerful and reflective service.

Remembrance - During November Christians remember the departed and offer lists of departed loved ones to be prayed for at each mass. Monday evening masses will be in the Lady Chapel during November.                         Parish Lunch - Thank you to all who helped. We raised £282.             
Pre Christmas Fayre  - St German’s Hall 11am-1pm - Sat 17 November.  We need: Bottles, toys, cakes.  No bric a brac or books needed, but we do need help on Friday at 5:15pm for set up and on the Saturday afternoon to clear away.

Act of Remembrance - after mass today with Geraint when we commemorate 100 years from the 1918 armistice.  Also during November, Christians remember the departed and offer lists of departed loved ones to be prayed for at each mass. If you’d like to join us please give your list to Fr Phelim.                
PCC Meeting - Tuesday 20th at 6:30pm in the hall.                  
Christmas Cards - A reminder that this year instead of sending greeting cards to each other we are going to try something new! At St Saviour’s we are actively trying to think about ways to save our environment and at the same time raising much needed money for parish funds. Messy Church  Many thanks to all who helped with last week’s launch.  Everyone who was there were very happy and would love it to be put on again.

Sanctuary Lamps - A reminder that sanctuary lamps can be sponsored with personal intentions  either for the Blessed Sacrament Lamp or for Our Lady for £4. Please see the folders on the table at the back of church to record your name and intention. All monies to be paid to John.                         

Help Needed - We’re still  looking for some additional volunteers to help with our ministry of cleaning and hospitality (tea making on a Sunday!) Anyone who can spare a little time to help, please speak to either of the wardens or Liz.

Cardiff Foodbank - so far this year St Saviour’s has donated 763.6kg of food to Cardiff.  Many thanks to everyone who so generously donate to this local charity. This week they need...UHT milk,Long life fruit juice, Sponge Puddings and Coffee
