Covid Risks Update - Please continue to adhere to social distancing and so go straight to their chair and at the end of the service leave orderly.  Once outside in the carpark, catch ups and some fellowship is possible.
Farewell and Thank You - to Natasha Quinn-Thomas our ordinand from St Asaph diocese.  We wish Natasha every blessing in the build up to her ordination and curacy in North Wales.  We will have a small presentation at the end of mass to express our thanksgiving.  St German’s will also be Natasha’s sending parish.
New Ministry - Fr Phelim and family will be re-locating to the midlands later in the Summer (where Annette already works) and where he is to begin a new role as a full time area dean in the diocese of Birmingham.  His last Sunday with us is 25 July.
Weekday and Sunday Services - No evening masses for the next two weeks as Fr Phelim is on holiday.  Next Sunday we welcome Fr David Morris to St German’s and he will talk to us about his work on vocations.
Christian Aid - We normally have activities organised to promote the work of CA as well as raise some funds for them.  If you’d like to donate please see Angela.
PCC - Our next PCC meeting will be on Monday 21 June after the 6pm mass in church.  Our focus will be on ministry area preparation and especially the decrees and structures of the new MA.  Angela will update us today on MA progress.
Next Sunday - we will celebrate Corpus Christi (instead of on Thursday).
Gardening Club - weather permitting, meets on the first Saturday of each month at 11am.  Open to all.  Next meets on Saturday 5 June.

New Ministry - Fr Phelim and family will be re-locating to the midlands later in the Summer (where Annette already works) and where he is to begin a new role as a full time area dean in the diocese of Birmingham.  We pray for him and his family as they begin this major move.  We pray too for our own community and for whoever will be our next priest and that the process for discernment and appointment goes well.  During the interregnum Fr Dyfrig Lloyd, the area dean and vicar of Dewi Sant, will guide and offer pastoral care for us.

New Vestments - Many thanks to Sheila for presenting a new green chasuble (in honour of Ron) for use during ordinary time. We bless it today and it will be worn first on Tuesday.

Farewell to Natasha - Natasha’s last Sunday with us is next Sunday.  We wish her every blessing as she prepares for ordination and in her future ministry.  Many thanks & well done.

Covid Risks Update - Please continue to adhere to social distancing and so go straight to their chair and at the end of the service leave orderly.  Once outside in the carpark, catch ups and some fellowship is possible because it is much safer in terms of infection rates and chances of the coronavirus spreading. We are hopeful for some further freedoms to do with worship and singing in the coming weeks.

Ministry Area Update - After mass today by Peter Lovitt.

Prayer for Christian Unity - usually happens in the Octave for unity in January or in and around Pentecost.  This year we will pray for Christian Unity from Ascension to Pentecost whilst combining this with our usual Thy Kingdom Come novena.

PCC and AGM - Our AGM will be on Sunday 23 May in church after the 11am mass.  We can only have 30 people in attendance and so booking in will be necessary.

A Quiz Night Saturday 22 May at 18:30 in the hall.  Again, booking is essential as maximum numbers will be 30.  Booking via Angela, Richard Davey or Fr Phelim.

Electoral Roll - We need to renew our Electoral Roll which was postponed from last year.  This new electoral roll will eventually form part of the wider MA electoral roll. It is crucial this is updated this year as only those on the electoral roll will be able to vote for wardens etc at the first MA AGM in early 2022. Please see Angela for the electoral forms.

Faith QI - meets on Wed 5 May via zoom at 7pm.  Each time we explore a different topic related to our faith and spirituality.   The next topic will be ‘Who’s in Charge? God, Authority and Power’.

Today’s Hymns: Christ Triumphant, O Jesus I have promised, Firmly I believe, Breath on me, breath of God,  Praise to the Holiest.

This week’s services and next Sunday - Reserve your seat at St Saviour’s mass via Liz on 07718918846

Lent Charity - The final figure for our adopted charity this year (Oasis Cafe) is £567.  Many thanks to all who supported and contributed to this worthy cause.

Covid Risks Update - Please continue to adhere to social distancing and so go straight to their chair and at the end of the service leave orderly.  Once outside catch ups and some fellowship is possible because it is much safer in terms of infection rates and chances of the coronavirus spreading. We are hopeful for some further freedoms to do with worship and singing in the coming weeks.

Parish Finances - Envelopes are available from John Stuart for those who want them or he also has details of standing orders and the diocesan gift direct scheme.

Prayer for Christian Unity - usually happens in the Octave for unity in January or in and around Pentecost.  This year we will pray for Christian Unity from Ascension to Pentecost whilst combining this with our usual Thy Kingdom Come novena.

PCC and AGM - Unfortunately current regulations only permit AGMs on zoom and we would prefer an AGM in person and so we will petition to have our AGM postponed until later in the year.  There is likely to be another, extraordinary, parish AGM later in the year as we prepare for the new ministry area.  Our next PCC meeting will be this coming Tues 4 May via zoom at 7pm.

Faith QI - meets on Wed 5 May via zoom at 7pm.  Each time we explore a different topic related to our faith and spirituality.   The next topic will be ‘Whose in Charge? God, Authority and Power’.
